Ways of Giving to the FIU Foundation

Candido Viyella has served his community in various philanthropic capacities, and is currently the chairman of the Jackson Health Foundation Inc., an organization that seeks to acquire funds from both the public and private sectors to improve healthcare in the Jackson Health System. Candido Viyella is also a member of the FIU Foundation board.

Florida International University Foundation, Inc. (FIU Foundation) was founded in 1969 in order to receive charitable donations and gifts for the improvement of Florida International University. The organization provides different options and ways through which members of the public can donate to help it achieve its aims.

The foundation provides the option of annual giving at different levels. Through a partnership, donors can give any amount ranging from $100 to $49,999 annually. There is also the option of estate and planned giving. This avenue allows the donor to give through a planned system and build a giving “portfolio.” In addition, one could give to the foundation by becoming a corporate partner with the university through its offices of Foundation Relations and Corporate Relations. Lastly, through the “Ignite” avenue, faculty and staff members of FIU can donate to the foundation.
